Fuel Economy Remapping
Combat rising fuel costs with a dedicated economy remap. By optimising the torque delivery of your engine, we help you achieve more MPG and a smoother drive.
Enquire NowHow Economy Tuning Works
An economy remap primarily focuses on increasing low-down torque. When a vehicle has more torque available at lower RPMs, it requires less throttle input to maintain cruising speed or climb gradients.
This increase in torque means you can shift up into higher gears sooner and stay in them longer. Fewer downshifts and less time spent in the higher rev range directly translates to significant fuel savings.
We do not make unrealistic claims of 30-40% savings. A well-calibrated economy map on a modern turbo-diesel engine will typically yield an 8-15% improvement in MPG, depending on driving style and vehicle load.
Most fleet operators see a return on their investment within the first 3-6 months.
Lower Running Costs
A 10% saving on a truck covering 100,000 miles a year results in thousands of pounds saved annually.
Drivability
The additional torque makes the vehicle feel lighter, reducing driver fatigue on long journeys.
RPM Limiters
For fleets, we can apply hard RPM or speed limiters alongside the economy map to enforce efficient driving.
Suitable For Turbo-Diesels
Economy tuning is highly effective on modern turbo-diesel engines (TDI, HDi, CDTi, CRDi, etc) found in commercial vehicles, vans, and diesel cars. Naturally aspirated petrol engines will see little to no economy benefit from remapping.
