Performance & Economy

Mercedes-Benz truck work is platform-led: an Actros or Arocs with OM471 does not use the same engine and ECU arrangement as an Antos or Atego. We identify the OM engine family, Bosch ECU type and PowerShift configuration first, then discuss a suitable performance, economy, recovery or diagnostic route.

Xentry with SD Connect is used to check live data, fault information and relevant service conditions before ECU programming. Where an OM471 requires bench work, the access method is confirmed specifically for that ECU rather than assumed from the vehicle badge alone.

Before We Confirm a Programming Route

  • Provide the Mercedes-Benz model, registration or VIN, OM engine code if known, model year and whether the truck uses PowerShift.
  • Xentry is used to review relevant engine, transmission and aftertreatment information before programming work is agreed.
  • OM471, OM470, OM936 and OM934 applications are confirmed by ECU type and software; bench or remote availability is never assumed.

Our Mercedes-Benz Capability

  • ECUFLASH now supports Bosch MDG1 ECU programming (OM471 Actros/Arocs) without the previous RFT unlock step using Magic Motorsport Flex 8.0
  • This means faster turnaround and lower cost for Actros OM471 ECU work compared to two-stage approaches
  • Mercedes-Benz OM471 has significant factory headroom — ECU calibration can unlock meaningful gains in fuel economy and torque
  • Three distinct truck ranges (Actros, Antos, Atego) mean different engines and ECU systems — we work across all of them

Mercedes-Benz Truck Tuning FAQs

Which Mercedes-Benz truck ranges can you assess?

We assess Actros, Arocs, Antos and Atego platforms, including OM471, OM470, OM936 and OM934 applications. The VIN confirms the exact engine and ECU before a route is agreed.

What does Xentry check before ECU work?

Xentry with SD Connect gives us manufacturer-level access to relevant fault information, live readings and service conditions, so existing engine or aftertreatment concerns can be identified first.

Do all Actros trucks use the same programming method?

No. Access depends on the precise engine, Bosch ECU and software version. We confirm the vehicle first and then advise whether an OBD, bench or remote approach is appropriate.

What should I include in a Mercedes truck enquiry?

Send the registration or VIN, Actros/Arocs/Antos/Atego model, engine if known, current objective and any warnings or programming history.

Having AdBlue or SCR Problems with your Mercedes-Benz?

We use Mercedes-Benz Xentry / SD Connect to diagnose AdBlue, NOx sensor, SCR catalyst and engine derate faults accurately — before any repair or programming work begins.
