Performance & Economy

Volvo FH, FM, FMX and FE vehicles are used across long-haul, regional, construction and urban work. We identify the D16K, D13K, D11K or D8K engine and the I-Shift configuration before suggesting performance, economy or drivability work that matches the truck’s operating pattern.

Volvo PTT with VOCOM II lets us check the engine, I-Shift and aftertreatment system using the same style of live diagnostic information used for dealer workshop routines. That condition check comes before programming, particularly where the truck has active SCR, DPF or gearbox concerns.

Before We Confirm a Programming Route

  • Send the Volvo model, registration or VIN, engine family if known and whether the truck is fitted with I-Shift or I-Shift Dual Clutch.
  • PTT/VOCOM is used to review applicable engine, transmission and aftertreatment information before agreeing the work.
  • The appropriate programming route is confirmed from the truck’s exact ECU and software; remote suitability is assessed case by case.

Our Volvo Capability

  • Volvo D13K is one of the best-supported truck engines for ECU calibration — XPI injection gives excellent control authority
  • I-Shift gearbox parameters can be accessed and modified via PTT to improve shift quality and fuel economy
  • ECUFLASH uses genuine VOCOM II hardware — the same interface used by Volvo dealer technicians
  • Volvo FH and FM are among the most commonly remapped truck platforms in the UK fleet market

Volvo Truck Tuning FAQs

Which Volvo truck ranges can you assess?

We assess FH, FM, FMX and FE vehicles, including D16K, D13K, D11K and D8K engine families. The VIN or registration confirms the exact platform and ECU before booking.

Can you look at Volvo I-Shift behaviour?

Yes. PTT/VOCOM supports a diagnostic review of relevant I-Shift information so shift-quality or drivability concerns can be understood before any parameter discussion.

Why check Volvo SCR and DPF data first?

An active aftertreatment fault can affect how a truck performs. We use diagnostic data to identify that condition before proposing calibration, recovery or other programming work.

What should a Volvo operator include in an enquiry?

Please include the registration or VIN, FH/FM/FMX/FE model, engine, gearbox type, operating use and any active warnings or symptoms.

Having AdBlue or SCR Problems with your Volvo?

We use Volvo PTT (Premium Tech Tool) with VOCOM II to diagnose AdBlue, NOx sensor, SCR catalyst and engine derate faults accurately — before any repair or programming work begins.
